I usually bet somewhere between five and fifteen dollars. I pick teams more often than individuals. There's more information about teams, so the chance of predicting the outcome is higher. Sometimes I bet on underdogs; sometimes they pleasantly surprise me. My biggest win was about a hundred dollars, but more often, I make a small profit. The main thing is to not get carried away and to view it as entertainment.
